Impotence is that word a lot of men do not want to be associated with them so much so that if they find out they have it, it may deflate their self-esteem and cause them a lot of distress. But what does impotence mean? And can it be treated or, at least, prevented?

What does Impotence Mean?

A man is considered impotent if he regularly finds it difficult to obtain or maintain an adequate erection during sexual activity.
A significant decrease in the rigidity of the penis during sexual activity also classifies as impotence, also called erectile dysfunction or ED.

Impotence varies in severity from mild, moderate, to complete - in which case a man has an absolute inability to achieve or maintain during sexual stimulation. Impotence is closely associated with other sexual dysfunction, including delayed ejaculation and orgasm problems, which further worsen the problem. However, mild, moderate, or severe, impotence leaves a man with significant distress, which often affects their partners.

Erection is an interplay of hormonal, vascular, and neural factors, disturbances of any of which results in impotence. For instance, a deficiency of testosterone, atherosclerotic plaques blocking blood flow in the penile arteries, and disorders which impair nervous signaling in the penis can cause impotence. In fact, according to cardiologists, impotence may be the first sign of atherosclerotic heart disease.
 What Causes Impotence?
To understand the causes of impotence, it may help to understand the basic physiology behind it.

When a man is sexually stimulated, neurotransmitters are released from nerve terminals in his penis and secreted to relax the smooth muscles in the penis. This causes the small arteries of the penis to dilate, increasing blood flow to the penis -  an event that makes the penis rigid and firm.

The turgidity of then penis further compresses outflow of blood in the penile veins, increasing the blood pool and, in turn, the rigidity of the penis. This erection is further strengthened by contraction of the ischiocavernosus and bulbospongiosus, two muscles around the penis. The male sex hormone, testosterone, plays a crucial role in this process.

Any factor that precludes this neural-vascular-endocrine series of events results in impotence. Simply put, any disorder that affects blood flow, nerve supply, or hormone function may cause impotence. These problems are grouped into two categories for descriptive purposes: physical and psychological causes.

Physical Causes

These include organic diseases that can impair any of the systems involved in an erection. These diseases include:

  • Heart disease (Atherosclerosis): In atherosclerosis, fat plaques deposited in the endometrium trigger damages to the artery wall that both obstructs blood flow and limit the ability of the vessel to dilate. This, in turn, prevents a proper erection

  • High Blood Pressure: Hypertension is also associated with damage to the arterial wall, impairing blood flow through the artery.

  • High Cholesterol: This results in a fat buildup in the vessel wall, which blocks blood flow and triggers inflammation in the vessel wall.

  • Diabetes: Diabetes affects the nerve signaling and vascular inputs necessary for an erection. Diabetes causes nerve damage, impairing the transmission of impulses to and from the penis, and arterial wall damage that leads to obstruction of blood flow in the penis.

  • Obesity: This is associated with high blood pressure, diabetes, and high blood cholesterol.

  • Alcohol Abuse: Alcohol causes nerve damage, which impairs the nerve signals responsible for initiating and maintaining an erection. In addition, excessive alcohol use damages the liver, resulting in testosterone deficiency. Even a day’s consumption of alcohol can also impair erection as it numbs the central nervous system, reducing sexual excitability.

  • Hormonal problems: Diseases that affect the hormonal interplay needed for an erection include thyroid disorders and testosterone deficiency (a disorder called hypogonadism).

  • Prostate Treatment: Treatment procedures for prostate disease including surgery and radiotherapy can affect the function of the penis, reducing one’s erectile function.

  • Medications: Medications that cause impotence include drugs for high blood pressure such as nifedipine, ramipril, propranolol, and losartan. Other medications that cause impotence include amitriptyline, cancer drugs, and opioid pain medications.

Psychological Causes

Although many cases of impotence are caused by organic diseases, psychological factors may be the main contributors in some cases. Common psychological causes of impotence include:

  • Anxiety: Generalized anxiety or anxiety about one’s sexual performance may trigger inhibitory nerve signals that prevent an erection. This is largely responsible for isolated episodes of erectile dysfunction.

  • Stress: Stress may trigger the release of hormones and nerve signals that inhibit erectile dysfunction. Stress also reduces sexual drive.

  • Depression: Depression dulls the central nervous system, lowering one’s sexual drive and excitability to achieve or sustain an erection.
Natural Remedies for Impotence

One of the most potent natural remedies for impotence is Dr. Sebi’s Testo, a powerful testosterone - and the only natural -  testosterone booster. Testo mixes the right natural herbs to not only raise testosterone levels, but also improve erectile function at a cellular level.

You can read my article on my main website here on how to make.
ALSO READ MY NEWLY UPDATED ARTICLE ON HOW TO MAKE 15 OF DR. SEBI PRODUCTS HERE.

Main Ingredients
  • Sapo
  • Contribo - Fights infection and improves the immune system
  • Chaparral
  • Valeriana - relieves anxiety, exhausion, headaches, and nervousness.
  • Irish Sea Moss  - Absorbs toxins in bowel and soothes inflamed tissues

Dr. Sebi Also mentioned the Viento product.  You can follow the link above to look at my new 15 product ingredients I wrote and you will find the Viento product, ingredient and how to make.

Irish sea moss: Irish sea moss has strong anti-inflammatory and anticoagulant properties, a perfect blend of actions to prevent clots from blocking the small arteries of the penis and also break them down if they occur.

Irish sea moss is also rich in minerals such as zinc that promote prostate health and boost testosterone levels in the body. It is also rich in iron to increase muscle strength and stamina. Seamoss also promotes overall health needed for optimal sexual function - it promotes a healthy gut and optimal immune function.

Dr. Sebi noted that by drinking sea moss every day. His energy levels pumped up, his joints were healthier, and his libido was stronger than ever.

Sarsaparilla: Sarsaparilla is one of the most powerful male sexual enhancement herbs, and it comes in the perfect amount to spark up sexual excitement.

Sarsaparilla contains a class of substances called phytosterols, which not only act like testosterone but also boosts its activity in the body. Sarsaparilla also contains significant amounts of flavonoids, which are potent antioxidants that mop up free radicals and toxins that can impair blood circulation and erectile function.

Sarsaparilla also contains saponins such as sarsasaponin and sarsaparilloside, which boosts immune function and scavenge inflammatory chemicals in the body.

Yohimbine: Yohimbine is the major component of the African Yohimbe tree bark and is effective for improving erectile function, especially in men with psychological causes such as depression. Yohimbine works by enhancing blood levels of nitric oxide, a strong vasodilator that increases tissue blood flow. Yohimbine also blocks nerve impulses that inhibit erection.

Yohimbine also boosts the body’s testosterone levels and enhance its effects. Furthermore, it stimulates the release of epinephrine and norepinephrine, which block chemicals that constrict the blood vessels in the penis.

Capadulla:  The capadulla herb is native to South America and has been used by men in South and Central American countries to treat impotence and boost sexual performance. Many say it works as well as conventional viagra pills but without any side effects.

Locust Bark: The bark of the black locust tree, Robinia Pseudoacacia, is packed with anti-inflammatory substances that promote healthy blood vessels and boost blood flow.

There are several other natural remedies on the market which work as effectively - even more so - than conventional treatments, with minimal or no side effects.

While these natural herbs are excellent for improving erectile function, you can lower your risk of the condition by adopting healthy lifestyle changes such as:

  • Fasting: Fasting not only helps to regulate blood sugar levels, but it also helps the body burn excess fats, preventing them from clogging arteries. What’s more, fasting lowers inflammation by eliminating pro-inflammatory radicals that cause damage to the arterial wall and limiting caloric intake.

Fasting has also been shown to reduce insulin resistance, improve prostate health, and boost the immune system, all of which are vital for an adequate erection.

Dr. Sebi Advocates outlines useful tips when considering fasting for impotence and overall health. These include:

  1. Start with a longer feeding window and increase your fasting period gradually
  2. Do not eat during the fast.
  3. Do not gorge or overeat during the feeding period. Space out meals and eat slowly to promote digestion.
  4. Avoid unhealthy foods during the feeding period
  5. Stay well hydrated while fasting
  6. Limit workouts while fasting.

They also suggest that if you cannot fast then give up food as you can and limit your calories and only eat fruits and veggies and herbs permitted on the Nutritional Plan.  You must change your diet, raise your PH to over 7.3 and drink 1 gallon of spring water daily, even if you are not on a fast.

Dr. Sebi recalls an experience in his 30s when he was impotent. After he embarked on a fast of 90 days, he regained his full sexual function on the 57th day. He cured his diabetes in 29 days though.

  • Avoid Pro-inflammatory Diet: Obstructed blood flow and impaired nerve function are central to the etiology of impotence, and a key factor common to both causes are poor diet choices.

When you are not fasting, make sure to focus on healthy fats and foods that lower inflammation such as fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds on the Nutritional Guide. These foods lower one’s risk of prostate problems. They
are also packed with minerals such as zinc that boost testosterone levels. Similarly, tomatoes are filled with lycopene, which promotes prostate health and prevents prostate cancer.

  • Exercise: Exercise improves blood circulation and reduces inflammation. According to a recent Harvard study, walking at least 30 minutes a day is linked with a 40 percent drop in the risk for impotence.

Physical inactivity is associated with insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome, and hormonal    abnormalities,  one of which is testosterone deficiency. So if you want to get your sexual performance up, keep moving!

Also, you could practice pelvic floor exercises to improve the strength of your pelvic floor muscles and, in turn, the strength of your erection.

  • Quit Cigarette Smoking and Limit Alcohol Use: This cannot be overemphasized: both activities increase the risk of impotence, and avoiding them is crucial to maintaining vascular health and the integrity of the nervous system.

Alcohol is a depressant and could reduce sexual excitability and erection. Furthermore, its chronic abuse releases pro-inflammatory chemicals, which damage blood vessels and impair blood circulation. Chronic consumption of alcohol also damages the liver, depleting the body’s store of testosterone.

Cigarette smoking releases inflammatory chemicals that damage blood vessel wall and increase the risk of atherosclerotic heart disease.

Impotence is a common condition affecting a lot of men, causing significant distress and affecting sexual relationships. However, it is possible to eliminate the symptom without breaking the bank. Simple natural remedies and lifestyle changes can reverse erectile dysfunction and restore your excellent sexual performance.
